Stronger at the Broken Places seeks to publish quality, literary writing by veterans, current service members, and their adult family members broadly and creatively related to war, the military, and transitioning back to civilian life.

We have two sections. The first is our blog, a rolling scroll of stories by our friends and readers. These works will receive only the lightest review by our editorial staff, mostly for content (some subject matter isn’t appropriate for all readers), but also for spelling, grammar, etc.

The second section is our edited collections. All works submitted will be considered for publication in one of our edited collections. Works accepted will undergo a rigorous review process by our editorial staff and may require some back and forth between the editor and the author. We seek work of the highest quality for this section.
